Georgianna Zollo: Usually HOA's are only concerned with the exterior appearance of your home, and do not get involved in interior issues. You might check with them, but I would think your good to go on the staircase changes.
Lanita Reichman: check your CCNR - Normally, anyting inside does not requireHOA permission - If your builder is competent, I wouldn.t bother with building permits, however, stairs are required to follow building standards as far as conforming to railing heights, and directions. Steps are required to have the correct run and rise otherwise, you could a a liability should a trip and fall accident - also head clearance must be considered
Raymon Fiene: since you pr vied floor plan- structure plan and stair plan in two set of existing and new condition of your stair sealed by engineer HOA will give you permite to build. If stair contact point to build is only head of stair way there's no problem to change direction of stairs. Also is necessary t! o inform building safety department for this action (selling house in future)any change in structure must be register in home documentary.
