Lillie Yarde: Alberto, I used to buy cars at auctions when I was in my late teens to early twenties. The purpose was to make money. I registered at the auction house. I looked at the car, started it up, without driving it. I bid on cars and if I was the highest bidder it was mine. The place I dealt with took a check from me. They knew me, otherwise they may want a deposit, cash or a cashier's check. The only problem was that I couldn't take it for a test drive. I found that to be very risky. I was fortunate that no car I bought needed major work. The price of the cars are from 300 to thousands of dollars. When I was bidding on the cars I was very nervous with my heart racing because I was worried I may get stuck. I sold the cars through the newspaper. Alberto, it wasn't for me. I did not have the mechanical knowledge. It may or may not be for you. That you have to decide. I hope that helped some Alberto, good luck. Mark....Show more
