Ruthe Real: This situation, I think, wouldn't be one where the non-vegan asks if their roommate would cook meat, but rather one where the vegan would do it because it's how their friend eats - the same way the non-vegan would exclude meat when making food for the other.
Hobert Dula: 1. It's rude to ask. (Kind of like, "Hey, you're Muslim but I'm taking you to church.") 2. Even if they chose to, results might not be awesome, since they can't taste test while cooking to make sure it's coming out okay.
Christy Tirabassi: That would depend upon the individual, vegan or non-vegan. Some may cook meat, others will not. However, I agree that if a vegan cooks a non-vegan dish, the results may be suboptimal due to lack of experience with those ingredients or because they weren't tasted along the way. There are plenty of professional chefs working in standard fare restaurants that are vegan, or have Muslim or Hindu backgrounds that must still prepare meats and other non-v! egan dishes of all kinds. While they might not taste them, such as to check for proper seasoning, they do still cook them....Show more
Dannie Briseno: I have a hunch they don't. If they don't eat it, they don't touch it either. People are vegan for a bunch of reasons - often they think meat stinks and is horrible and it makes them heave up their guts..... so you can imagine them then COOKING it for somebody else. Probably ain't going to happen.
Jed Porada: A vegan probably wouldn't cook any meat but a vegetarian might. Vegans are stricter with their diet, and thus often stricter with their moral standing. Vegetarians can be strict with their moral standings too but there are more vegetarians in the world who would be willing to cook meat.
Lynn Mctier: Yes vegan can cook meat for non vegan. There is no harm to cook meat. But it depend on person to person.
Tosha Tawney: It depends on the vegan, some will some wont
Leann Villalta: Vegan Roommate! s
Elbert Donatelli: Totally depends on the individual. S! ome are fine with cooking it, some won't get near it. It's all personal preference. That being said, why the heck is this person cooking for their roommate? I'm assuming they're both adults. I see no reason why Vegan Roommate would be preparing something for Non-Vegan Roommate that they aren't BOTH going to eat. And vice versa. If Non-Vegan Roommate hates onions, I wouldn't expect him to make a batch of onion soup or onion rings for Vegan Roommate?...Show more
