Bob Nakamoto: In middle school (8th grade year) I met this girl that was homeschooled and she was so kind and friendly & she loved it here :). I think you should try it! I never really asked anyone about homeschool or anything but just be kind and friendly towards other people, but be confident/mature when doing public speaking to your classroom. (like you present your projects to the class) just make it seem like you've been to public school your whole life :)P.S. I also think public school would be better because you get involved in more activities & you can get opportunities to do stuff you love & you may do it in the future as a job :)...Show more
Clemente Schoeck: Public for sure would be my recommendation. I'm sure you have friends and all but the thing is being home schooled causes you to miss out on the fantastic social aspect of education, whether it's meeting and hanging out with new people or working with them. There's a lot to be learned from these exper! iences which you quite simply cannot get from home schooling.
Virgilio Echter: Hey! So I have been both public and home schooled. Public school can be really fun! There are certain things like Assembly's, school dances, and other fun events that public schools have. Plus there are many clubs and sports were you can make a bunch of friends! On the downside of public schooling you have to deal with peer pressure, keeping up with your classes pace, waking up early, dealing with jerks, and having a long day. Homeschooling is a good option if you want to learn at your own pace, wake up whenever you want, wear whatever you want( these all depend on how it works in your household) and if you want more time for yourself. The cons of home schooling are not being around many people, not being involved in events like homecoming and prom, and not being able to join fun activities. It all depends on what you want to do. If you parents allow it maybe you can try attending public sc! hool and if you don't like in maybe they can put you back into! home schooling. Currently I am home schooled and I might go back to public school so i'm thinking this over just like you. By the way for the guy who said colleges prefer public school thats not true from what I heard colleges are more open to homeschoolers because homeschoolers learn faster and generally know more then a public school student. Good luck in whatever you choose!...Show more
Cassey Hollinghurst: Public is probably better as it will get you more used to working in a group environment and could likely simulate a real work environment. Other than that, I'd say it would be a bit more entertaining but less convenient.
Esteban Lyson: If your planning on going to college go back to public school. Being home schooled looks bad when trying to get into college.
