Cuc Gire: Yes, I work as a wildlife biologist who mainly works with endangered birds. We also dabble in endangered fish, small mammal and reptile/amphibian work as well. Yes, it is basically what I expected...spending most of my days outdoors all day everyday doing bird surveys, nest searching, doing habitat assessment, etc. I get to work closely with the animals I study: birds, reptiles/amphibians, and small mammals (which includes handling them as well). I come into contact with othe animals while out working such as coyote, deer, bobcat, wild pigs, bears, and potentially mountain lions.
