Floyd Labuda: CNN is often called "Clinton News Network" or the "Communist News Network" because of their unfaltering support of Bill and Hillary. I think even they have gotten queasy about Obama. For the most part, Time Magazine has done everything in their power to boost Obama. I look at CNN/Time Polls and automatically add a correction of 2-3 points for McCain. That would fall in line with their polls in the last 2 Presidential elections vs. what actually happened. Gallup has the same problem although maybe not for the same reason.Polls have become a hot topic over the last several years. Even in the recent Primaries, for some reasons the polls had a hard time predicting Democrats. They consistantly called the outcomes of the States wrong. There is a lot of debate over the validity of polls in general. With cell phones, caller ID and work, it is widely thought that polls do not get a good cross section of voters. When looking at a poll, you just can't look ar the numbe! rs of "47% for McCain-46% for Obama". You want to know are they polling households, registered voters, or likely voters? How many identified themselves as Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Libertarians, etc? What was the racial make-up. Pollster can easlily slant the numbers. Remember this, many polls are commissioned. You can have a question placed on a poll if you are willing to pay for it. The wording of a question can be more important than the question itself. Most of the media is behind Obama. regardless of what they say, many of the corporations that own these polling companies are behind him as well. If they are not showing Obama with a strong lead, I know he is in trouble. I tend to believe he is at least 2 points further back than what they show....Show more
Antwan Schrum: I think Rasmussen's polls are the most accurant, but I have been polled a couple of times and I say I am voting for Obama, but really am not. So how far can you really trust polls. I ! am hoping the Bradley effect is going on out there.
Clar! e Hoard: Yes the polls are all rotten like Obama breath
Ivan Velazquez: Honestly, I sometimes think they call the same people over and over again! The polls really make little sense right now in my opinion, too much flux in the mix.
Clinton Quant: I don't think you'll find a true consistent poll. In the end, the only one that will really count is the one at the end of election day.
Roselee Mczeal: That's a good question, it would definitely skew the results.
Talisha Digrande: I use fivethirtyeight.com which averages out whatever polls were produced that day. If you look at all the polls there will always be some that will be higher or lower for each candidate everyday. FOX probably cherry picks the ones that make McCain look the best. MSNBC does the same thing for Obama.
