Bryan Avinger: Educations role in the preservation of the environment is ongoing and vital. With out the topic of deforestation or extinction of species as a result of the actions of man being discussed openly and rationaly with statistics and free debate then and only then will we be able to make great progress toward the preservation of the environment. Education is paramount.

Pearlie Medora: Education is the best, most important, and easiest way for people to learn about their environments, and the problems within them. How can people know that it's very important to conserve water by turning off faucets and showerheads while lathering, or to prevent toxic runoff by controlling fertilizer application and engine leaks of motor oil without education?Education will be the main way that humanity ultimately learns how to live sustainably in this world of ours. Public s! chools in Curitiba, Brazil, for example, teach classes on the environment and on safe living practices starting in ELEMENTARY SCHOOL!
