Anton Waln: advertising is more or less related with marketing. both go hand in hand. marketing probably involves more finances, where as advertising involves artistry
Aron Ramu: At Purdue, Marketing is a minor for the Management major. I'm a senior there and went to Purdue expecting Marketing to be more Advertising focused because that is what I'm most interested in, but there is actually very little advertising involved. Marketing focuses more on deciding who to sell to, prices, market segmentation, and things like that. All this being said, it is a well respected degree that could still get you a great job in advertising, maybe even putting you ahead of those who went to easier schools for advertising, but your classes wont be focused on advertising....Show more
