Outboard/Inboard?What you do after you get your boat and trailer is see if your home insurance can cover it. There are a few pieces of information you will need to get insurance and get proof of the insurance. Have the cost of the boat, cost of the trailer, the serial numbers (VIN) for the boat, the motor (and the motor make), and the trailer. Then once you get the proof of insurance you then can register it like you would register a car.
